>>553037/qa/ was pretty great early on when only a small group of people realized it was still up after the actual q&a and decided to turn it into a meta board. Back then, it was pure gold.
Then followed a period where staff started doing things there. There were moderator and developer threads. It was great, but eventually faggots mistook the board for the report button and the board became an incoherent mess of everyone yelling what, who and why something should be banned, removed or brought back. The only thing /qa/ achieved in this period was lifting the wordfilter on 'cuck' because of muh /pol/ culture.
Then more recently ota and /mlpol/ settled in. The board got so shit it was frozen for a week.
I didn't see all of the times between the beginning and now so there might've been events I missed. I sort of regret not sticking around when I saw it was good.
And there you have it.
/qa/ is the fastest ruined board on 4chan that is currently up.
What is remarkable about /qa/ is that after staff abandonment it was a pure community effort that created the golden era of the board. The board was left without moderation and without an actual topic but because of being unlisted and appealing to a core userbase it flourished until word got out.
