They don't, most arabs don't live in the Arabian desert. The only people who live like that are Gulf Arabs, who are the notorious arabians that look like your OP pic, live off of oil money, and were historically bedouin nomands, with all the camels and the Aladdin stuff. Levant arabs, or Shami, from Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, don't live in deserts for the most part, are usually urbanized, secular, and in between Greece, Iran, and Arabia.
