Also crocs HAVE been evolving for a long time. We've had terrestrial crocs, hooved crocs, armadillo-shelled crocs, bipedal crocs, and herbivorous crocs. Recently we've just lost most of that variety. (in fact, within the last 50,000~ years, we had a pygmy terrestrial crocodile in some south pacific islands.)
>>5614254I think the Komodo has an unfair advantage in its venom, but the ostrich might be able to kill the komodo, too. I think the ostrich would rather run - if it came down to them fighting, a single bite from the komodo would end it, so I'll give the edge to the dragon, 6/10.
