Anyone who may be able to share knowledge and/or info on this chemical and/or my situation, please, read on.
I've just been prescribed an SSRI called Sertraline for ongoing depression/anxiety (I can describe this in detail if requested).
>50mg per day (in the mornings) for a period of 6-8 months, with a primary checkup in the first 2 weeks.
The doctor gave me a pamphlet to read (written/distributed by the government) on the drug itself, the usages and other general information. I was also encouraged to do my own research on the chemical and report back at our next appointment (sooner if needed). I was told that in general, the drug (and/or it's effect) starts to "accumulate" (or thereabouts) in the body/brain mover a course of ~4 weeks.
Although I used to smoke weed and drink regularly, I've been clean and sober for ~3 months now, as a means to better evaluate myself and my life. Since going sober, I've felt better in the sense that I'm being more "honest" or "true" with myself, for lack of a better descriptor, but I have also felt that the as the "blanket of sedation" has been removed, I've come to realise that I was simply using intoxication to "better" deal with the world around me.
I took my first 50mg pill this afternoon; in the next post, I will go into how I am feeling now (~4 hours later).
