When one hears of an "American", one does not picture someone who is knowledgeable about the outside world, and therefore not one who would travel far and wide.
And seeing as you have, in this thread, made undermining statements about the U.S, I do not assume that you're an immigrant.
I therefore conclude: you've been living in the U.S your whole life.
Now, I presume you've had somewhat of a decent education. It is therefore a riddle to me how someone who has spoken English their entire life is unable to recognize the difference between: "you're" & "your".
