Remember the 10k hours rule.
You've got maybe 4-6 hours of intensive focus per day. If you avg out at five hours a day and have a singular focus you'll be at reasonably 10 years to Absolute Mastery. Assuming 200 Days/Year.
That said these are purely mental models. Physical models require active recovery and have other limitations. This extends it.
The point is Take your time don't be in too much of a hurry. Embrace the grind.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCjbUyOFIIE if you pardon the propaganda the point remains.
That said You will be Significantly Better Than 99% of the Population at 100 Hours of Intensive Practice with a master/senpai depending on the amount of rote skill development required vs knowledge/technical knowhow. You can bank a very broad skillset with these Monthly/quarterly deep dive projects. Masters will be able to pick you apart but you'll at least know what you don't know and be sure of your commitment level ought to be and what to look for in an outsourcing partner.
The process of becoming well associated with a subject speeds up too. Once you know how to prospect a topic quickly you can speed up the depth of your dives and readily transfer skills. If you choose well you'll have about 100 soft skills in 10 years and 1 Mastery.
Take Trump for example. He's got 3 Masterys as far as I can tell. 1) Deal construction 2) Negotiation 3) Research
Along the way he learned a myriad of soft skills like hotelling, media, presentation, rhetoric, risk management etc... He freely admits he's not the best at many of these things. But look at his library of work and his business Structure. He can lend his name to a project like wine, vidya, steaks, write a couple books. Take a deep dive with masters in the field and come out with a great lay of the land.
