For example, getting depressed and believing you're not intelligent because - let's assume - you've found out you had nigger ancestors 500 years ago, it's plain retarded. Your parents genetics, or at most your grandparents genetics can influence your intelligence, but nothing from your ancestors come to touch you.
Now the fatal question: what happens if you take an African newborn and you place him in a white noble European family to raise him in a villa full of paintings, with a huge library and lots of music records? Will he become smarter than a white child? The answer is: probably no, but not for his genetic tradition. He could even become super intelligent and well-read, but when he will look at his skin he will always think "I don't belong here". There's something like a "return to the identity" ingrained in every individual, meaning that every man feels this need to go back to his roots, find "the real himself". Usually, adopted children are not very brilliant because they're pulled back by their own origins and they fall in a process of regression instead of embracing the culture and society in which they were raised. This means the African child won't be less intelligent than a white child, but he won't be interested in gaining success in this civilization. He won't be motivated.
