i have adhd. i feel like a medication would help me focus and function better in general. in the past my doctor has sent me to therapy which didn't work at all. i have an appointment soon, what should i say to make them consider medication over therapy

my experience with ritalin/addy is that it makes me feel somewhat tired but excited at the same time, as well as making me very talkative and work-oriented
though I only took adderall for like 3 years throughout my childhood so ymmv

You can still get different sorts of medications, if you don't want such a major stimulant. Drugs do exist in which they release in proportions. Also it depends on the severity of your behavior, for me I have ADD not ADHD so stimulants are much more manageable for myself.

Personally for myself, I found stimulants much better for myself and any SNRI's really didn't do anything but just made me tired.

Amphetamine (speed) is easy to get in the UK. It comes in a yucky paste that you could clean a bit yourself. Could give it a try, just be responsible.
