>>5846171>dragons ruled the worldA stillborn status quo of a world. Dragons were immortal and apparently always there. It's kind of like the conceptual void before big bang.
>and then they got btfo by people starting the age of fireThe first fire appeared from somewhere, and it created a division. Now there was ligh and dark, life and death etc etc. Life soon followed and the first four lords. World "began".
>the age of darkness was meant to happen but gwyn interrupted itNot so much meant as was just going to happen, like a fire running out of fuel. The golden age of lords was fueled by the first flame, which begun dwindling, and the lords presumed that the end of the first flame would be the end of the world, as it would rob them of their powers. The lords tried to continue the golden age by different means but the only one that eventually worked was gwyn surrendering his own soul to fuel the first flame, and even that was only a temporary solution, as the fire needs fuel again eventually.
>the undead are a sign the dark age is comingNot directly. The undead are heralds that mark the fading of the first flame, and their "purpose" is to gather immense power to their souls and then surrender it all to the first flame as fuel. The age of dark is what happens if the first flame fades away.
>this was inevitable because the soul of light is a finite source of energy but the dark soul isn'tThe dark soul isn't infinite either, it's just one of the lord souls, the soul of the furtive pygmy who fathered all mankind. Mankind being associated with darkness, their souls are dark, and THE dark souls is their lord soul.
>but none of that matters now because the girl in the painting will create a new world with the dark soul anywayThe painted worlds are separate realities that aren't really connected to the main world and it's destiny.
