>>5908513Well you guys managed to be poor and hungry without communism, so congrats.
>>5908519Nothing new age about it mate, personally polygamy isn’t my thing but some people are into it and I don’t think the government should have the power to stop them. As for cheating I specifically pointed out that that’s not what they were advocating, s nig part written there is about mutual agreement of all individuals involved, if someone is being cheated on they aren’t agreeing mutually and clearly the relationship has broken down.
I forgot to adress the drugs part to, I believe that Portugal has the best system when it comes to these things. Punishment does not help. That’s not SJE rhetoric about acceptance that scientifically backed up, it causes feedback loops for violence and danger to users, the trade heads underground into gangs, the drugs become more potent and more likely to be spiked and people who are caught for possession face permanent unemployment from their record and the allure of crime as a solution.
If the usage and possession is decriminalised then drug users are much more easily able to find the help they need and need not face unemployment for what could have been a mistake of their youth, and the government is much more easily able to tackle addiction. Not to mention how much would be saved not having to house all of the inmates of minor drug offences.
I still believe the production and trafficking of certain substances (opioids for example) should be regulated or outright banned but I realise that it’s impossible to crack down on all of it and punishing addicts only worsens the issue.
At the end of the day the state should serve the individual and should not have the right to intervene in their affairs unless they are somehow harming another individual, they are within their rights to hurt themselves, we can’t ban suicide.
