Friendly reminder to not trust your psychiatrist, and if you have none - stay away!
Psychiatrists will tell you your problems are defined in their book of lies (DSM-V), that they are diseases that need treatment in form of medications with little known effect. They will tell you they know this, that their discipline is legitimate, it is not. Stay away from their lies and printed hell spawn (DSM-V).

This is easy to know. Psychiatry is mostly based on the critera for defined diseases in the DSM-V, many are said to have said diseases purely through interviews using those criteria. They say they conduct brain scans and other proof, however, they hardly ever use this in your every day psychiatry hell house. "Mental illness" are untill proven otherwise variations in thoughts, behaviour and feelings, this is not to be mistaken for actual neurological diseases such as alzheimers or epilepsy. Saying that psychiatric drugs "work" and that this somehow proves that the illness is real is nonsense as well. We know neurotransmitters such as serotonin are involved in processes related to mood, we do NOT however know how these emotions work. You would surely be affected if you took MDMA, it does increase concentration of serotoning (among other neurontransmittors) - this does not mean we view MDMA as a treatment for depression, it also does not mean depression in itself is an illness because of this. It is not the drug or the neurotransmitter in itself that makes you happy, this is not magic. It will trigger processes in your brain, in your neural pathway - we do not know how these work for the brain is vast, you have some ~90 billion neurons in your brain, that's a lot. Who knows what you're truly changing in there? Ever thought about that?

But I have a debilitating mental disorder that is manageable when I'm prescribed my medications. Otherwise yeah, most psychiatrists are worthless and alot of meds have inconclusive evidence they work and if they do they're typically addictive
