If you said the word "normie" a couple of years ago you would've got called a newfag, but nowadays it's fucking accepted everywhere. If you criticize them for the usage of that word they fucking mock you, the self-unaware faggots. "Normie" is endearment of normal people; it's not the dislike of normal people "normalfags" implied.
If you browse other boards surely you've noticed the drop in quality - especially since the "fappening" thing and "Gamergate" thing (I never really understood it).
Hell, it's not just redditors you need to be wary of. Every single time you do a big thing that attracts attention to the site, more newfags join in. Sure, many of the people may hang around for a week or so and then leave, but there will be remnants.
