What is the most vivid nightmare you can remember? Mine was from when I was in elementary school, so it must've had some lasting effect.
I dreamed that I was camping with my family out near a river. My dad and I went swimming, but as he came up to land, I sank below the surface. When I tried to swim up, the surface literally turned into rubber, preventing me from getting out of the water to breathe. As this was happening, my family was just fishing on a rock while watching me. This was the earliest I could remember that I woke up in a cold sweat.
