Russia has a huge standing army which you cant just dismiss. Its probably worse than the us army (though the us army, apparently, isnt what it once was) but its still a large and decently equipped military which could do some real damage in europe.
What are you even gonna do in a war? Occupy Russia? Good luck because everyone who has ever done that has lost and its harder than ever to do in modernity. Who knows if China might use that chance to act as well and theyre got a huge and untested military.
