A glance from across a room
Starts a romance atop the moon
Where the players keep playing
The waiting game ashamed
So they glance and blush alone
Having a love affair unknown
In their minds their perfect pair
Is sitting away alone
If only they'd get up and say to eachother
"Hey, I saw you there, and I want to tell you I love the way to stare
And I love the glean of your hair
And the smell you left as you walked by not ten minutes ago
And the way you sat down had my heart set a-pound
So what say you and I get up and go?"
Maybe a spark from the thought
Maybe a look hit its mark
But one of the two whose heart fluttered althrough
Decided to stand up and walk
And the other could only watch
As their love came closer in stride
And found their destination, and said with much pride:
"Hey, I saw you there, and I want to tell you I love the way to stare
And I love the glean of your hair
And the smell you left as you walked by not ten minutes ago
And the way you sat down had my heart set a-pound
So what say you and I get up and go?"
