>>612153It's actually not that bad lol. Overall the design is nice but there are some common pitfalls that are keeping it from looking as good as it could.
A) This is honestly a rule I almost ALWAYS break because I have a boner for hatching BUT, when you do into a piece decide what you want your hatching to do.
Shading OR providing texture. Try to avoid doing both. It's like listening to two songs at the same time and just ends up making shit get muddy.
B) This is a big one. Tangents. Google them, and learn to avoid them. It's habit building more than anything else. Basically you have a T O N of areas where your lined are colliding in on eachother which leads everything to flatten out. Forms should overlap, it builds perspective and dimensionality. They shouldn't fall into eachother.
C) Another thing diminishing the dimensionality of your drawing is your inconsistent line weights. There are some areas where you're abiding by the closer = thicker and farther = thinner concept but mostly it's all over the place. You need to be consistent so everything builds together. Every line has a job. Assign accordingly.
D) When making cloth/ribbon shapes try not to completely close them out. These shapes are made from physical things, it's impossible for them to just collapse into 2 dimensions like that so when you look at it it'll just read as weird and flat.
