Was planning on jalapeños, bell pepper, chicken, cheese, and maybe some hot sauce. Never thought of putting salsa IN it, but maybe on top. I do have some pineapple salsa I could try with it.

I've never tried pineapple salsa so I'm not sure what that will taste like
also a mexican anon told me that salsa is meant to be green. i always get red salsa though

I had some peach salsa a while back that was really good and I think the pineapple will go more naturally with the tomatoes and onions. And idk salsa verde is a niche thing, he was probably from a certain part of mexico that is proud of it. Certainly real but not the only way of doing it.

The sweetness of the fruit just adds a bit of complexity to it and lets the flavors out a bit more. Maybe just dice some peaches up into your regular salsa and mix it to try it out without going out and buying some. Of course, only a little bit at first, but still.
