It's NOT my fault, or your fault, or your country's fault this girl has cancer. They've done everything in their power to not cause it—and even prevent it. So I see no reason why they should pay for it.
You say you want to help? That's why charity exists. If a thousand of people donated $500 each, the girl could afford the therapy. The key thing is, the donations would be VOLUNTARY.
You'll say, it's government's interest to keep that girl alive. Not really. We keep schools free because they vastly improve economy. It's an investment. $500K into a life of a girl who won't ever pay for it is not an investment; it is robbing millions of taxpayers for 1 person.
