In all honesty though (I'm saying this as a country boy) If you make noise (like stamping through some bush), the snakes will fuck off. they are more scared of you then you are of them
The worst ones where I live are Tiger Snakes. Those fuckers WILL try to go you. But they only live near creeks and rivers and the anti-venom is so common that you would have to be really unlucky to actually die from one.
Most spiders can't kill you and will try to avoid you. Red Backs will go you, but you'd have to be really fucking unlucky to die from a bite.
In short. Yes there are spiders and snakes fucking all over the shop. But you get used to it and eventually you stop caring about them. In the end hardly anyone ever dies of snake or spider bites in Aussieland. They bite you but don't kill you
