>>6095435Honestly? Yeah. The creation story in Genesis describes him flying over a strange dark mask, with no separation between sky and sea. Doesn't it sound sort of like that was a previous world that got destroyed? And then you look at Noah's ark; more specifically, the rainbow. An arch in the sky that signifies God's promise to "Never destroy the world by water again."
And even stranger. Before the creation of the world, I forgot which prophet this is from by the way, probably Elijah, God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and the Angels were in heaven singing and having ceremonies and all that. Looking at the description of the angels...my theory is that they were in fact the previous inhabitants of what is now Earth. They're called the Sons of God in Genesis when talking about the birth of the Nephilim, the half angel giants. Notice, too, that a "heavenly" being was somehow able to defy God's orders to not have sex with the humans. Notice, too, that they're normally described as either hermaphroditic or genderless. They have their own society, their own hierarchy. They understand concepts like music and love.
I think that Angels are actually the precursor race to humans; the prototypes. Maybe it is that the Seraphim were the first version to roam this plane, followed by the Cherubim and Ophanim, two symbiotic orders, and everything afterwards. Suppose Armageddon is just something that's happened many times before? And then there's the parallels between the end of Norse Ragnarok and the Abrahamic Genesis...
