I've played it since 2010 I just can't get rid of the habit. There is a competitive thrill from playing ranked and trying to improve. I'd quit if I found a game that's as intensive, interesting, and engaging. Haven't found anything yet. I hate the league community and most players are autist cunts, but the game itself is still sort of enjoyable.

Yeah. They didn't remove ELO, they just replaced it with leagues & MMR. ELO is still the backend.

I don't like what they've done with the jungle, so I've refused to play normals or ranked. Season 1 I was a TF main (with a build that went on to win at worlds by the Chinese which makes me feel like I could actually be a coach one day... a girl can dream) starting back the week when Malzahar was released, I think. I remember the days when I was competitive. There is a huge rush in achieving exactly what you set out to do in a play, so I get the hype. I've watched the LCS nearly its full run, so I know a bit about the competitive side of things.

It's a great game in the right hands. One of the most competitive in the right hands.

have you tried dota?
its much better imo.
some things seem really unbalanced and bullshit at first but you get used to it and youll be able to play against it after a while.

I haven't played league in years, and even then never ranked. How dependant is winning in competitive? Can you hard carry? In overeat it's a little bit of both, like if you have at least OK healing and a tank holding a shield up you can have space to carry.
