Look.
I end up calling you shrewd a lot.
I should explain what that means, cause if you're looking it up in the old dictioanry it's not gonna do you any good.
See, and maybe my boy DBR knows what I mean. I'm told in the mid-west and the south they use this word to mean exactly what I mean by it up here in an unspecified area of rural Canada
Shrewd means when you're being clever in a way people don't notice.
The kicker is, if people NOTICE that you're shrewd, and CALL you shrewd, they notice
So if you're being clever in a way people aren't supposed to notice, but they notice well enough to say it, clearly you're not shrewd at all.
It's a nice way of calling someone a smartass.
And you are a smartass Sven.
A big one. A grat one.
Anyway, you know
I know that you know
How I react to this. You've seen me go off on all the ERPs and smutposters. You've replied to me in those threads asking on me.
And you do it here, in a story probably nobody else reads, and pretend you don't know what my reaction is.
Don't be shrewd with me Sven. As much as I like you - and I like you a lot - I don't appreciate it, not a thimble or a mite.
Ah, the liquor's real good. Normally I'd have reservations about saying that sort of thing. It's funny. People who know me real good always tell me how honest I am. But even I have trouble with it. I'm blunt, but not reckless.
If that's honest, if I'm honest, what is everyone else? Not a good thing to think on too much. The answer can't possibly be a good one.
