Define Nazi mentality. If you go around with a swastika, proclaiming that Hitler did nothing wrong and had very good ideas or the holocaust isn't real, then no, thats illegal and with good reason. Many german cities got razed to the ground under Nazi rule, and the holocaust speaks for itself.
If you mean conservative ways and right winged mindsets, then honestly, more and more people are going that way, considering that the AFD gets constant 10-15% votes, the greens and left are losing with the greens having less than 5% right now, and Merkels CDU moving further to the right, thanks to pressure from the public and in order to combat Schulz, and honestly Merkel is definitely going to win this election, but that might not be so bad considering recent developments.
Right now Germany is kind of unsure concerning its past, with conflicts and discussions about it everywhere, but i am optimistic, that germany will find its roots.
