But a lot patriotic people kept the Romanian knoledge and spirit alive, and when we gained our idependence feom the russians in 1991, we still had culture to fall upon. Sadly, a lot of mildovans were fully converted into russians, and they thought that russian culture to theit followers. Ao now you have like 75% of people who know they are romanian at heart, and 25% who feel russian at heart.
