Today in 2006 - 12 years ago if you don't want to do basic subtraction - Pluto was officially stripped of it's planethood status.
Milliions of fucking nerds were disappointed beyond measure. The solar system was deducted one planet.
Despite a clear, concise ruling by astronomers that deemed it was NOT a planet, many still considered it so.
To this day people are still discussing the status of Pluto.
