good vanilla ice cream is really amazing. Store-bought and/or chain ice cream store/chain restaurant vanilla ice cream is gay. Actually, I take it back, even some of those are good if they try and go for actual vanilla flavors.
Vanilla as a flavor is amazing. It's used so often because it's good. In fact, the only reason people think vanilla is "boring" or "tasteless" is because it used to be such a DOMINATING preferred flavor that it was basically everywhere and it only became that way due to contrarianism and poor versions of it.
Respect the vanilla.
