>>6323530A lot of the political stuff pisses me off, and even being a born American the fact that we have the toilet and the shower in the same room with no bidet confuses me, and I shake my fist at floridated water, BUT, I have SO many things I love about being here:
We can pretty much get whatever kind of food whenever we want, as much as we want, and if you live in a city, you can have food from almost any country you want.
We have lots of hot running water for showers and baths, we have ice and popsicles and there is a public, olympic sized swimming pool near where I live. We have classes in all kinds of martial arts, there are gyms everywhere if you like weight lifting.
Hotdogs & Hamburgers, even if you are a vegetarian. Even if you are restricted on what you can eat, depending on where you live you can usually find a place to accomidate you.
Most of the time people are nice where ever I go. Most people can be engaged with a wave or a smile, although with the way things are now I really hope this continues to be the case. Everyone here has dogs. Some people go around with exotic pets.
Amusement parks, carnivals, state fairs, etc. There are downtown events, free music "farmer's" markets, food trucks.
State parks and regional parks, we can pretty much drive a ways and see nature whenever we wish. Whitewater rafting, kyaking, camping on the cheap, waterfalls. BBQing while camping smells SO good. We have bike trails and hiking trails and places to dirtbike and do three and four wheeling, it's AWESOME!
Beaches if you live near a coast, surfing, boogie boarding and skimboarding
Fast internet connections
Men and women hold the door open for the next person in most cases. If you are a woman sometimes random men help you out with heavy things, or even other women.
We have roller rinks still in some places and there are ice skating rinks in lots of cities, and everywhere you go there is usually a movie theatre, bars, restaurants, grocery stores
