>>6415024 July is when we celebrate the great return to our English heritage. This isn't often said, but we owe our Americana and our greatness to England.
https://www.archives.gov/founding-docs/declaration-transcriptThe Declaration essentially says "We are free Englishmen, and the German King George does not respect Magna Carta, therefore we will do the conservative thing and have another English Civil War."
1776 is just about as different from the French revolution as you can get, because we respected and valued the old ways and sought to preserve them through separation.
Protestant England gave us individual liberty and responsibility, as well as a culture centered on the nuclear family. This, combined with patriotism and reverence allowed us to take full advantage of our land. The reason America turned out so much better than the rest of the new world is because our values came from England, not some other European country.
