We often refer to the liberation from NPCdom as becoming "redpilled", so it only makes sense to relate the NPC meme to the Matrix. But if this is the case, is it possible to convert an already redpilled playable character into an NPC? In other words, is it possible to recondition a free-willed person so hard that they essentially degenerate into a liberal / communist? Can anyone provide examples of this if it's been done in the past?
