>>66075>What's a good starter-tier pistol?Full stop, Glock 19
>plenty of sight options to experiment with to see what works best with your eyes>affordable quality magazines as they are to be considered disposable items (*as in getting them beat up from being dropped)>affordable and widely available spare parts>easily serviceable even by new shooters>offers the shootability of a fullsize service pistol and is light and compact enough to fufil conceal carry role I don't even carry a Glock 19 and I'm quick to point out its merits to a new shooter. Don't get into the oh, I gotta go hunt every polymer pistol P320/VP9/M&P/PPQ/APX/P10C/FNS9/WTF/BBQ before I choose what I want to buy and feel them type of deal. It just encourages indecision and analysis paralysis.
People get so fucking wrapped up on finding the """perfect""" gun right off the bat and never get to a level of any noticeable proficiency. A Glock 19, a good set of sights and a bunch of ammo will serve you better as you will then develop a preference for a different gun later on which you can sell the Glock 19.
I don't even carry or really shoot mine, I use pic for all my defensive shooting needs.
