I live in a white town on the edge of a city (basically rural), in other inner city areas this is magnified.
Infrastructure is falling apart. Schools are overcrowded and crumbling, hospitals have patients lying in the corridors (if they are lucky on a bed or in a chair, if not on the floor), My town of 30k's nearest police station is 9 miles away and the nearest fully equipped fire station will soon be 33 miles away.
As you can image the police have lost control of the streets. Thats why they are always patrolling the internet instead. Muggings and robberies are common even in daylight, especially now thanks to the moped gangs (who the police are not allowed to chase if the thieves aren't wearing helmets in case they crash), knife crime and shootings are soaring, people are getting killed for the sake of a phone or even just for fun but you don't hear much about it because most people don't bother reporting it anymore - Why would you when nothing happens anyway. Less and less people go out at night - sunlight is becoming a curfew and being further north than many countries this is awful in winter.
British youth across all ethnicities are feral. Near me some kids decided to throw burning plastic bags on hedgehogs and film them die. This is tame - Some kid threw a petrol bomb at his neighbours house because of a dispute on a car window - 4 children died. The lack of parenting, especially among the lower class (mostly welfare trash who are lazy to do anything and send their 4 and 5 yo kids to school in diapers) has led to a whole people out of control. And its usually the easy targets, the very young, old and disabled who are attacked.
The license memes are true, you need ID to buy energy drinks, teaspoons, plastic cutlery and much more.
Its tiring living in this dystopian shithole. The consolation is that at least we aren't South Africa. Which really says something.
