Let's talk about the best electrical sockets.

North American pictured.

Pros:
15 amps

Usually grounded

60hz. Base 60 numbers are good for trigonometric values like sine waves/ac voltage

Not bulky
Cons:

No physical lockout, so tards can stick stuff in them

Hurts like hell if you step on an exposed plug

Pros:
Physical lockout so tards don't shock themselves

13 amp, 240 volts: highest wattage from household plugs.

Grounded

Cons:

Fuckin huge

50hz, so tvs and game systems have weird framerates

Most EU plugs are some variant of this
This one sucks, but some countries, like Italy have a better implementation that allows 16 amps instead of just 2.5.
The issue with that is that you have to buy adapters for many eu countries because they don't have a common standard shape.

Tard safety like UK plug (plastic isolation on live wires

you can have triple outlets where most other countries can only have one

Can plug in the EU standard for non-grouned wires

Cons:

50 Hz (not inherent to the plug btw, so not really important imo)

Type F

A good improvement on the europlug/type c as it's grounded, 60hz, and 16amp. This plug can be used in most of Europe without an adapter.

Yeah, the type c is a pretty outdated design. Most European countries have either created their own, or adopted the type f. Either way, they're still probably compatible with type c.

That's the densest the german standard (Type F, I think) can get. It's fucking horrible.

I have one of those in each room where I stay now. I think that's the standard but my previous rent had like 4 in both living room and bedroom. There's no way that's how it was built, they must have paid a hefty sum to break the walls and get it like that.

It's not unique to NA. Almost all electrical sockets everywhere will accept grounding pin because a lot of equipment, particularly audio, need it to work properly.

EU plugs are actually more efficient than NA plugs. Because the EU grid runs at higher voltage than NA, (220V to 120V), the plugs in the EU don't need to pass as much current for the same power transfer as it would in NA, so they can be built with less material.They're more efficient too because less current in the wire means less power loss.
