>>6527333My default assumption is there's just nothing after death, but there are some factors that might make that incorrect. For instance if we presume that time doesn't only exist in the present, but rather is more like a frozen river that we can only ever see a cross-section of, then every moment in your life always has and always will exist, meaning you can never really die.
Also, the nature of consciousness is not well understood. If consciousness exists within the atoms in the mind, then when those atoms inevitably become part of a new mind (likely an insects) those minds will be your next state of being.
...It's probably just nothing though.
