But, at least here psychiatry is a study that's a specialisation of psychology.
And I have to say that for my certain condition, meds are definetely the right choice. My psychiatrist is very chill about it and he explained just as you did that the how and why of these meds are mostly unknown. I got to try a couple and I remain the boss of my own drug use.
So, maybe I got lucky and had less luck with psychologists.
