(Might get this a bit wrong since it's been years since I looked it up) some men are born without the little cradle thing that holds yours balls in place, so at infancy and around age ten (for some reason) there's a high chance of the ball getting knocked in such a way that it just twists, like holding a breadbag by the opening and spinning it so it closes itself.
I think the chances of being born without the cradle thing are like 1 in 40,000, so unless you get cannon-balled in the nuts or something you're probably safe.
