and it's not even that they have these problems, it's the way they go about solving them. they gather together and create a filter bubble which allows them to think that the best course of action is to just act on it and undergo surgery or hormone fuckery instead of entertaining the thought that there might be different solutions and that even after they've 'successfully' undergone those methods they might not be happy or in an even worse condition (which there is enough data of to support that hypothesis). it's just extremely dangerous and it makes me sad.
