For instance, I think/read in words when dealing with text, but I can shut that off to read faster, but it's less enjoyable and less likely to be remembered properly. I can also simulate solutions to problems in my head without using works, more like using simulated physics to piece together a puzzle. I can then analyze that with inner voice to determine if it's what I want.
Inner voice is about the language center of the brain and how it's important to many emotional and IQ related functions.
It's not the only thing you need to be perfect though
NPCs don't have an inner voice at all, so they definitely can't do what the chad in that picture can consciously. That's what it's about, doing it consciously.
