There have been billions consigned to the same fate. Humanity is simply too large for us to remember more than a tiny fraction of people.
Though it is weird to think of some bored schoolkid in 3018 half-assing a paper on, say, the 2016 US presidential election and its consequences. When I remember it so vividly. And to think of how many people vividly remembered all the stuff I've half-assed papers on.
Anyways just gotta get over it. Live your life as best you can. Sorry I can't give better advice but that's how it is.
