>>6704549Idk I've been playing Bloodborne recently and it's pretty fun but I don't know if it's my favorite. the whole thing with grinding and limited blood vials and other consumables stuff is pretty lame. I get that it's supposed to be a punishment for being bad to make you git gud but it's just not fun
the thing with most games is I always end up getting bored with them like half way through and I'll either give up and move on to another game or force my self to finish it just for the sake of finishing it
if I ever find a game that I don't get bored of like this it'd probably be my favorite.
well I guess Minecraft has always been pretty fun to me but I'm not really a fan of some of the newer updates, I liked it more when it was more minimalistic. at least you can go back to older versions though.
now that I think about it I don't think I ever got bored with Mario Odyssey the whole time I played it. that game is really really fun. The movement mechanics are fluid as heck and with all the different things there is to do it somehow never gets old and I enjoy doing all the things
Zelda botw got pretty boring though, there way too little variety in enemies/locations/puzzles for how large the world is. It was pretty obviously going for a much more minimalistic approach while Odyssey was more maximalist, but minimalism just doesn't work well when it's stretched across a map as huge as BOTW's. But to be fair it did do sense of scale really well, and the ability to literally climb any mountain (looking at you, Todd) was probably the best part.
