Although I think the NPC meme is retarded, the fact that different people experience different forms of thinking intrigues me. Lets talk about our own thought patterns. I rarely use an internal monologue to think through problems. I pretty much only use it when the problem involves speech or writting. Most of my hard thought is done visually. For instance I understand mathmatics more through trends, curves and relations than axioms. I'm very good at visualizing complex 3D shapes, predicting my location on a map, and how physical objects will interact with each other. How I deal with abtract thoughts and unnamed concept is much the same way I would deal with it when monologing they are just given place holder visuals instead of place holder words. I just end up using my visual "vocabulary" because it is larger.
