Be me
> Start going to Church
> Meet pretty nice lad there, who works for the Church
> Go to Church most Sundays
< Lad asked me for my number to 'hang out' sometime
> I say sure
> Go to Church and lad texts me about a twelve week religious course and I should go
> I say "Thanks, but no thank you" (I've been on these courses before and they're so boring, plus I'm not into having a cup of tea around a table and having a chit chat about Christianity for two hours at 10pm at night)
> Go to Church, I've not seen the lad there for ages but he occasionally comes into my place of work, sometimes feel like he's checking up on me when I don't attend Church.
>Decide to text him "Hi, fancy coming out for a bite to eat'?
>He never replies back
Now begin to realise that he doesn't want me to be his friend, but only to make sure I stay as a member of his Church because they don't have many members.
I think he's annoyed that I didn't attend his boring religious course. To me though he can't be a good Christian if that's the reason.
