As you all might know, hiro is currently in the process of splitting away the blue "suitable for work" (SFW) boards away from the main site in order to found 4channel, a subdivision of the site which will be free of the degenerate porn ads flooding the front page, have improved moderation, and more importantly, won't easily be back-linkable by boards like /pol/ and /r9k/, among other boards known to dump garbage onto our humble home. If we can convince hiro to change /bant/ into a full-SFW board we can not only be rid of these ugly cancers on the front page, but also expect fuller moderation which will actually enforce the core rule on which this board was founded on. No more furry porn, no more blacked spam, no more /r9k/ greentexts, no more bump cults, heavily restricted gayposting that will probably die out entierly. We can use this moment to banish everything that has been ailing the board in an instant and become the crown jewel on 4channel by virtue of being the only random board which hasn't degraded into a fap-filled wasteland.

By showing enough feedback that the board's community wants this to happen, we can notify both hiro himself as well as the remaining team 4chan staff that this would be a beneficial opportunity not only for us, but for them in filling a niche that would otherwise be left vacant.
