How come my dad doesn't remember anything?

I literally just watched Logan with him and I tried discussing it with him yesterday and he was like, "Who's Logan?"

Then when he always like, "You like Rey, right?" when he's asking who my favorite Star Wars character is, but I like Jyn.

I just watched every X-Men movie with him and he doesn't even remember Jean Grey.

I just watched Logan by myself and Charles Xavier is reminding me of my own dad.

I'm scared, I love my dad but he has trouble remembering everything.

Is he really old, or passing into the geriatric stage of life? This is pretty common when people get older they struggle to remember things. It didn't really run in my family that I know of. However, I have seen a friends great aunt go through something similar. I had to reintroduce myself every time I went over.

Difficult to say anything about this from your story.

It could be alzheimers, sure. But it could also be related to something like exhaustion or taking specific medication.

If you're worried about it, visit a real doctor.

I keep watching things that I already watched and having this horrible feeling that I already did that or played that game.
I'm not sure if some memories indeed happened or I just created them when I fought about them (I remember finishing that game and then feeling awesome but It was impossible to clear since the CD was too scratched and didn't load cut scenes)

Recently it got better but I think it was just "depression". Seems like your brain stop making the connections you used to make and everything just feel hazy and uncertain.

Try seeing if your dad has this. Don't let it pass.

He's runs marathons in his 50s.
Part of me think it might be wearing him down.
It could be the source of why he's always tired and can't remember a damn think I like.
I try so hard to spend time with him and then he doesn't even remember it.
Then he goes and runs a marathon and tells me all about it.
Maybe he just doesn't care about me.
