Last I checked Ford pulled most of its lineup since it literally couldn't compete with Japanese brands and American branded cars are still known for higher breakdown rates than Jap cars, just check /o/ or any fucking auto forum
Japanese engineering and management is way superior to American because they don't throw the consumer under the bus by trying to corner them into frequent replacement parts/planned obsolescence like Euro and American models
The only thing that comes in like 5th place close to the 1st of Toyota is the Ford Mustang, but even then it's going to cost much more in maintenance than the equivalent from a Japanese manufacturer.
Big auto should have been allowed to fail just like US steel, our companies need a kick in the teeth to get their shit together
