I don't know man I think just feeling a bit lost and directionless is actually something lots of people go through in the late teens, it doesn't automatically mean there's anything wrong with you. It might even mean there's something right with you, because maybe you're worried about where you're headed, and that's a good thing. People who don't think about where they're headed often head in the wrong direction.
And yeah, when it comes to dealing with other people... Look it's hard to judge your situation because everyone is different. But in the general case, people need other people. I don't think this is something you can get past no matter how much some loners would like to believe they're better off. On the other hand, being alone with yourself is also a good chance to truly start knowing yourself. If you don't know what the fuck is going on with yourself, maybe you can just sort of let it happen. Not everything always needs to be fixed in the moment. Sometimes solutions only come by giving everything some time to process
