What is it about female singers that makes it harder to listen to? They always seem so bland to me most of the time. It's also hard for me to feel the same emotions from their lyrics and tone as compared to male singers.

It might just be my taste in music but very few females do well as the lead singer of a band, in my opinion.

Here is one I think does well enough though. She doesn't stand out as phenomenal but she also doesn't seem to try to add anything necessary like I think a lot of other women do.

isn't always true but typically female vocalists are better as part of a duo/group or performing backing vocals

Tricot was definitely the best of the three, in my opinion. The other two were okay in terms of their singing but I just don't feel the portrayal of emotion from them like I would want.

Probably is just you, but at the same time, out of 100s of artist i only listen to 1 or 2 with female singers. Maybe it's a pitch difference

I have to assume it's more on me than on the singers. I also think the genre of music I like just isn't conducive to female singers.

That's the situation I often find myself in. I may hear a few female leads and not mind it but it's rare that I hear it and actually want to hear more.

That can be very true, also i have found that female singers tend to be either lame and unoriginal or over the top an obnoxious. To me a lot of them sound the same or do the same thing as the rest
