I'm trying so hard to resist playing vidya again. I'm so bored I've spent the past few days basically in bed becoming more and more depressed.

Because it's so addicting. When I play, I get really irritated every second I'm away from it, can't stop thinking about it, become unable to enjoy anything passive like movies, become unable to enjoy non-vidya music, start making tons of impulsive purchases... It becomes my entire personality. There aren't even many modern games that interest me. But Smash and KH3 are killing me. Today because of Smash has been absolute hell.

I don't even have any of my own Vidya right now. Even keep my Windows PC at a friend's house so I can't play emulators unless hanging out.

I started going back to the gym but I can't spend all day there.. The rest of the day kills me with boredom. I barely get to see my friends anymore and when I do, they either want to play Vidya or watch anime which bores the shit out of me and makes me want to go home.

How 'bout learning a music instrument. Even you don't have alot of money, buy a ukulele or a recorder and learn to play some tunes. Read a book or manga. Watch movies. I don't know. I hate vidya too but sometimes there's really not much you can do when the weather is shit outside.

I'm not a creative type. If I didn't have chronic fatigue or ADHD or OCD or whatever (always tired and anything mentally taxing makes me fall asleep, have a shit memory), I'd love to try learning Japanese again.. Or reading books I guess. Solitary stuff makes me feel so alone but I also have social anxiety. If it wasn't so dark and cold I'd be happy going to parks and walking around.. My only friend who would do that with me moved to Texas solely so he could have guns when his dad died and left him inheritance.

there isn't anything wrong with not enjoying passive stuff, maybe just find some other active hobbies to do like reading books or programming, or something creative like making music, or you could even create your own video games since you enjoy them so much but turn it into a productive hobby

try going to a D&D game, everyone else there is probably somewhat socially anxious so you shouldn't feel too out of place but you can still be social and have fun

How are movies not passive? It's rare I can sit and watch one.. Just sitting there and not actually doing something drives me insane. Anime is the worst for me.. I can watch some cartoons like Aqua Teen or KotH or Space Ghost, but only so much.
