you have to invest everything previous generations of men invested in women just to sleep with them. most of them don't want children 'till they're 30 and even then they're not fit to be mothers. so you get much less bang for your buck and more and more men are realising this over time and giving up. instead of going MGTOW however, they're just taking whatever opportunities come to them, lower status females with high desperation. but many are even avoiding that because of the dangers.
