The main reason for this is explicit content I imagine. There's a reason Fox news considers 4chan a far left site, and why the right contingent has to be distinguished as alt-right. Most American protestants take one look at this site and leave. I imagine the same is true for most of the world's catholics and muslims. China, meanwhile, is censored and Japan has its own 2chan- so most of the world's atheists right there aren't participating.
You've also got all the people who don't give a shit who were always counted as Christian in the 90's and 00's, but are more and more getting counted as "non-religious", "agnostic" or "agnostic atheist" depending on what narrative fits the fake news best today.
So in answer to your question:
1) Genuinely religious people leave
2) There aren't as many atheists here as you think
3) There aren't as many religious people in the world as you think (most seriously don't give a shit either way).
