FUCK ME

So.... I hate the trades.
Hate electrical work. Pay is shit for 4-5 yrs until you become a journeyman. 14 an hr start and that is utter shit in Southern California. I have an associate's in this shit and ONLY unions care. Literally no one else cares. I'm just thinking other fields have a way better starting pay AND cap along with better job prospects. For some reason, it stresses me out too. Something about physical work like climbing ladders. Doesn't feel right. Idk why. I just don't like it. Caps low at like 30 an hr unless you're in a construction union, in that case, they almost start at 20 and cap at under 45 an hr so 92k with benefits.
So basically, you're fucked outside of a union.

Again, I live in california near LA. 60k is pretty shit here as a cap. Ya it's doable, but it's still depressing considering the work you do. It doesn't even out. Outside a union, they just aren't worth it.

Anyone else regret the trades and wish they did something else? I feel there are other jobs that get paid about the same or more for less work.

I'm thinking of just finishing my bachelor's in bba econ (1.5 years total left) so I can jump ship and just do something else.

Why the fuck do the trades depress me so much...
Who else feels the same? I don't even know what I want from life anymore. Feel like a total fuck up.
